Quick and Easy Chicken Nihari:

Many times you tried beef nihari, but most people don’t like to eat beef, but cannot resist nihari’s smell, so why not try chicken nihari and enjoy the same taste of spices and smell.19


  1. Chicken – 1 ¼ kg
  2. Oil or ghee – 1 cup
  3. Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp
  4. Chapatti flour – ¼ cup
  5. Plain flour – ¼ cup
  6. Nihari masala – 4 tbsp
  7. Salt – to taste
  8. Fresh coriander – 2 tbsp
  9. Ginger flaks – 2 tbsp
  10. Chopped green chilli – 4
  11. Lemon slices – as required

  13. Heat the ghee in a pan; add ginger garlic paste and chicken, fry until it turns white. Then put salt and nihari masala, fry for 5 minutes. Then add 1 litre of water. Cook on high heat till the liquid has evaporated. Then add flour mixture gradually, keep stirring until it starts boiling. Now cook on low heat until chicken is tender. When done, serve after 15 minutes with green coriander, green chillies, lemon slices and ginger flakes.
